Project ZJ Transformation - The Good, Bad & Muddy (Part 2)

Hey Trail Family!

Alex back with more tales from my ZJ project! Remember that $500 rescue Jeep? Well, let me tell you what happened after a deer decided to "customize" my front end... 😅

The Unexpected Upgrades:

  • Complete front-end makeover (thanks, deer!)
  • New white paint job looking fresh
  • Finally fixed that stubborn heater core
  • Added some sweet rock lights (because why not?)

Build Decisions That Made Sense:

  • Went with CavFab short arms (perfect for 4" lift)
  • Planning that IRO three-link setup for the front
  • D44a swap from my '97 donor (bye-bye D35!)
  • Keeping the 242 transfer case stock-ish for now

Real Talk Moment: When my girlfriend totaled the family Tahoe (she's okay!), this ZJ stepped up as our daily driver. Just goes to show - sometimes your project car becomes your hero car!

Why share all this? Because every Jeep build teaches us something, and like the custom tire covers I make at JeepSkill, it's all about making something uniquely yours.

Stay tuned for Part 3 - the transformation continues!

Keep it Wild, Alex
